As immigration policies continue to change, the Alhambra Unified School District remains deeply committed to providing a welcoming, secure, and inclusive learning environment for every student, no matter their immigration status. We want to reassure our families that every child has the right to a public education, as protected by federal and state laws. Members of the community have asked how they can help students and staff members who have lost their homes in the recent wildfires. The Greater Los Angeles Educational Foundation is collecting funds to support fire relief efforts throughout LA County. Donors may designate funds for a SPECIFIC DISTRICT. To ensure funds are directed specifically to our local community, please make sure to designate your donation for the ALHAMBRA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT or ALHAMBRA USD (not just “AUSD”). Our next Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting will be IN PERSON and held at the District Office on March 18th, 2024, beginning at 6:00pm. (Please note that this is a revised start time to what was shared in the last AUSD Connections Newsletter.) This meeting will be an interactive opportunity for you to provide input and feedback on the 2024-2024 LCAP Plan.
