Marguerita Elementary School opened on October 24, 1930, and was the ninth school to open in the district. In 1960, the second floor was removed to conform to the Field Act earthquake standards, and the school was remodeled.

Members of the community have asked how they can help students and staff members who have lost their homes in the recent wildfires. The Greater Los Angeles Educational Foundation is collecting funds to support fire relief efforts throughout LA County. Donors may designate funds for a SPECIFIC DISTRICT.
