Marguerita Elementary School opened on October 24, 1930, and was the ninth school to open in the district. In 1960, the second floor was removed to conform to the Field Act earthquake standards, and the school was remodeled.

The collection of household income information is a necessary step for AUSD to receive federal funds for the school your child attends. Members of the community have asked how they can help students and staff members who have lost their homes in the recent wildfires. The Greater Los Angeles Educational Foundation is collecting funds to support fire relief efforts throughout LA County. Donors may designate funds for a SPECIFIC DISTRICT. To ensure funds are directed specifically to our local community, please make sure to designate your donation for the ALHAMBRA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT or ALHAMBRA USD (not just “AUSD”).
